Fantastic episode guys! Awhile back I gave a lukewarm attempt at learning about the financial system but none of it made sense (it still doesnt). Could have easily listened to 6 hours of this.

Stormy paraphrased for 4 hours: "This is how the exceedingly complex and opaque network of independent global actors move and coordinate their monetary policies and investment decisions. You probably don’t understand this. I do." Yeah, okay. I don’t have much respect for academia, but there are dozens of competing theories that attempt to explain why money moves the way it does, and when. It's worth serious consideration that sometimes, maybe even most of the time, major financial events and crises aren't the product of some grand orchestration. Even the most sophisticated financiers and money/policy managers can't envision or understand some of these events except from within their aftermath. Adam, to his credit, always hedges his knowledge and assumptions -- "from what I've seen; in my experience; based on the data I've studied" -- and clarifies his scope and context. This is 4 hours of the opposite. Bleh.

Great podcast.

Somebody needs to take all this information and put it down in a coherent narrative that ties it all together, and includes references for the various anecdotes, especially in regards to Midlands bank, the Rothschilds grabbing up all British sovereign debt, JP Morgan saving America, etc.
