Good article. Scouting was a large part of my youth as well. I’m saddened at what it’s become and will not be signing up my sons.

It’s my understanding that the reason why BSA has consistently refused to resist the encroachment is that they have a lot of very old agreements with the government regarding their massive number of properties across the country, and their use of government facilities. If they refused the gay, the government will make it extremely costly for BSA. No I don’t have a source, it was revealed to me in a dream.

I got my Eagle in 2007, since then BSA has become astronomically gay and cringe. I would have loved to have stayed involved and given back, but I’m not dedicating my time and resources to such a spineless organization. Perhaps we will see a new & improved version of scouting, but i imagine (((the system))) will use lawfare to prohibit anything that works in a positive fashion for young White men.

I was also in Boy Scouts, somewhat before your time. Volunteered a bit as an assistant leader for a few years after high school. I will also not be signing up my sons for what the mainline organization has become.

There is, however, a more traditional, alternative successor to scouting, at least in the USA:

Whether it will survive attempts at the subversion and lawfare that gutted BSA and its brother organizations in other countries remains to be seen. Their web site certainly looks encouraging.

Life Scout here. (Never made Eagle, alas. I plead girls & increased demands of schoolwork as high school progressed). I grieve for the Boy Scouts, maybe even more than I grieve for my (former) church. They were the last organization in America I supported 100%. I sure hope someone starts a replacement organization worthy of Baden-Powell’s vision.

Scouting was a formative part of my youth and it's sickening to see what the organization has devolved into. I've been calling the hollowed out shell org the Sodomy Scouts for many years now. Last year I went to a merit badge shooting event at the gun range and was shocked to see women 'scoutmasters' involved. We had den mothers as young cub scouts of course but women in the boy scouts? What the f*ck was this? More clownworld coming at you fast.

Something will come along

Something is in fact coming along. It is very in line with Scouting of old and the leadership takes the role seriously. Ask around in church groups.

I don’t believe in any religion but Islam is real. And I’m not Muslim.

I’ve met them “professionally”.

They are real.

The others aren’t.

They earned it.

The others earn contempt.

Amen.

I’m realistic this org is going and there’s likely lots of chances to be brave, sight in rifles and scout (scout means reconnaissance).
