The only reason I ever go through the drive-thru hellscape anymore is to get quick snacks for the kids on the road. No way in hell we're walking in a sit-down restaurant with all those little terrorists. If my kids want nuggets and french fries, I can go to Kroger, heat them up, and feed them for 20 dollars versus 60+. And I know the order's not getting screwed up.

As for low-level sit-down places, they have already crushed fast food in value. Now they're just competing with the "can't we just microwave this at home?" option.

I’m reading this as not just my businesses and field that can’t get people to work.

Why work when you can :

1. Go to college

2. Then go to Corp and ping pong emails all day.

3. Or work for government 🤣

4. Or just collect?

Now when what’s happening in QSR makes its way over to T-Bills ...and yes, it is... then 1-4 above go with the helicopter money, aka T-Bills. Sooner or later something real must be behind those T-Bills... which are of course behind so much else.

#1 College is our utter ruin of long term prospects. It’s already happening, and like Hitler’s Germany Colleges won’t go down without ruin and drama.

That young people don’t want to work but instead party now (please, college is clubbing) and pay or default later... for one thing it’s actually holding up our re-industrialization. And all the rest. I pick on college because it ruins the chances of the young, and because clearly us mid 50 types have no one to pass the torch to...

.... except in the military, BTW, and I think police (same people).

Some of the younger crowd came up for Thanksgiving. Certainly a younger bunch than you’d see in the office. Say what you will about the military... motivated young people are hard to find, I’ve had to look.

Also military are men, instead of women passing me the work as happens elsewhere. Of course I don’t work QSR... I grant you women bust their buns in local diners.

Yeah as a student myself there are tons of people who go to college that really shouldn’t be there. In theory teenagers who actually have professional or academic interest/motivation should be encouraged to go, but the notion of “go in with no idea what you want to do, change your major 5 times, party, pay us money” is too lucrative right now. As you say the current apparatus won’t go down without ruin and drama.

They’re wasting most of people’s best learning window of 18-26 in exchange for “Clubbing” - the most expensive Club ever. Decades of debt and no real skills. Learning MS Office 365 isn’t a skill , and it takes a week at real work. Legal Debt slavery and Licensed Organized Crime.

"Military men are men"...things are in the works to change that. There's a reason real men aren't jumping onto the recruitment bandwagons. All the ones I know are, or going to get out. Fast. Their kids are now also giving a military career a hard pass.

The ranks will soon have to be filled with...what? How much lower can the standards get?

The answers here; Hispanics.

Already happening.

Now we 🇺🇸 come to real world problems; can a man or a family run the risk of not having military or police status ?

Family certainly is safer WITH status of yes State authorized agents of force than being “little people.”

And we look after our own.

They’re all we can look after.

Join “The Family”. ITS SAFER.

Welcome to how most of humanity lived for most of history. > Our turn. 🇺🇸

Yeah, but are Pablo and Hector as prepared to give their life for the Holy State of Israel as Jake and Mike were?

I doubt the issue will come up.

It really didn’t before.

Lives were given to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia actually.

Later lives were given to keep the contracts in Beltway going.

Israel would go the way of South Vietnam, Rhodesia, ZA and so many others if most of DC had their way, but so would we...

... the Hispanics in America are simply being practical about things, in particular as they recognize the warning signs.

To answer the question about them, good soldiers, not indoctrinated into cringe if white as we are, really the new Italian Americans, and yes they fight well.

My present position again is; none of that matters. The fight is now here, as we have begun to notice, it’s with each other as you should have noticed, and in a war zone you can’t escape and 99.9% of Americans can’t, in that war zone you don’t want to be a civilian, and if you can’t fight you certainly want family members who are serving. The rest of that 💩 doesn’t matter.

You’ll want to not be less than nothing as a man , and your family to have the status of my son or husband or brother is a warrior. This is why in societies with constant warfare the warrior is usually near the top, but he is never taken lightly or treated as say... white straight office drones are now. He is not alone, his organization or group or tribe is with him and he and his aren’t prey - as the rest are prey or chattel. Less really, completely irrelevant, irritating, utterly disposable. You don’t want to wait to see I’m telling you the truth.

Does self interest and love of family put it in perspective?

Because that’s it now.

I've noticed the downfall. Simultaneously, the quality of the food is sucking large.

I used to eat Chik-fil-a periodically. But the last couple of times, the chicken nugs were hard and awful tasting.

The fact of the matter is that no restaurant with a drive thru can make better food than I can. Same for most other restaurants, for that matter.

Much like my beloved Taco Bell. The last time we went, it cost the two of us almost $50. It's now almost $2 for a SINGLE taco (mostly lettuce) so a 12 pack for my husband with tax is $27. Add in almost $5 for a single burrito supreme (he gets one of those too) and I get a couple of $4 burritos (one for later) and we have over $40 in a single purchase.

Needless to say, we now only go about once every other month or so as a splurge. Stupid amount of money.
