A comeback win shows the heart of a champion
Winners
Trump - His address to Congress went well regardless of what polling firm you checked. He had a sequence just listing off weird government spending, and no jokes were needed.
Sean Baker - The man won four Oscars for Anora, which was a fun, slick drama with funny moments. Trailer does not sell the film well. Totally different film than the trailer. Baker’s speech about going back to the theaters and artists needing to make films for the theater experience was great. We will accept a review if someone sat through this.
Sex Workers - Oscar speeches applauded them, but if you saw Anora, the film did not glamorize them. This gave a lot of 2010s college grads a week to talk about sex worker empowerment.
Conan O’Brien - He hosted the Oscars and got some decent jokes off. Really made Jimmy Kimmel look awful (he is).
TikTok - Shhhhh, no one is making a fuss at all about it selling or not selling. Silent.
Losers
Zelenskyyyyyy - Bombed hard. All he had to do was stop interrupting when Trump was agitated, and he would have been fine.
Starmer - Fake promises and absolutely nothing to provide any real help. He will send peacekeeper soldiers after a deal. He will have bases in land occupied by Russia now. They may provide air support, but in Western Ukraine far from the front. They do not have anything militarily to help Ukraine, and any force they could send would get killed in a week.
Germans - As empty of a promise as England. Even if they do spend the money on defense, in what year or decade will anything be ready?
Congressional Democrats - The PR team is giving them awful advice. Bad optics and look petty. They need a coherent vision and to dump the woke stuff, but will the activists allow it?
