I was age 36 in 2000 and a lot of my cohort was able dodge the effects of the "emergent echo chambers" you describe. But people hitting their teens and young adulthood in the 00s and 10s got completely marinated in it. It's like talking to young people raised in a very strict and insular Baptist church.

Watching the Left casually and blatantly lie their way through the 2020s seems to be resulting in a lot of light bulbs switching on and there are a number of skeptical 20-somethings at this point. But I run into lots of people in their 30s and 40s who just can't make that leap: you have been lied to, and just about everything you've been told is a lie.
