Impeachment: The Senate Trial
The Democrats got their vote. It couldn't even dominate the media cycle for a week. It might be the most boring thing to discuss at the moment. Middle East mischief has upstaged it. Congress will return from their winter recess, and we will get to see a Senate trial.
Maybe not. Sen. Josh Hawley wants to dismiss it entirely. I bet the GOPers who are deeply compromised wish it dismissed, too. There will be no conviction so why would they want dirty laundry aired that they are creators of. If they make it go away soon, no one within their corrupt circle will be harmed. Sure intel community people have lost their jobs but what else? No one goes to jail. No one on the inside suffers even when caught red-handed.
If President Trump's team did push hard for witnesses and a lengthy explanation for why investigations were requested, it would require the media to cover things they have suppressed for years. Hunter Biden's handout in Ukraine was covered by Zero Hedge years ago when it happened. Ukrainian meddling was admitted by all sides before Ukraine mattered in 2019, now it is just a dubious conspiracy theory. Maybe we would hear about Crowdstrike's work with missing servers.
I doubt it. Take a look at the sick bipartisan reaction to the death of an Iranian General. He was not a terrorist, just an enemy. He was as good of an enemy as any empire deserved, especially one in our fallen state. Pay close attention and you could probably map out the people collecting Israeli and Saudi paychecks in think tank and lobbyist world. The ones arguing the killing was fine but did not follow procedure illuminate how disgusting it all is. Ghouls infest our government and its support system. There is no justice until the system implodes or an external shock to drastically alter the conditions allowing the current internal balance.
